Most trim is bought off a rack and nailed up in whatever size was on the truck. This shop starts with the room.
Each wall is measured and laid out before anything is cut. Panel sizes, casing widths, and crown are sized to fit the room and each other, following the classical rules of proportion. The work is then milled and built in the Canton shop and fitted to the house.
Raised, flat, and applied-moulding panels for foyers, studies, dining rooms, and stair halls, with casing, base, and crown to match. Panels are laid out to fit each wall, so nothing ends in a sliver at a corner or a window.
Full fireplace walls, mantels, and surrounds in paint grade or stain grade, with fluted and built-up details milled in the shop.
Coffers, beams, and patterned ceilings, laid out so the grid lands evenly on every wall.
Arched and cased openings, pilasters, and dressed columns, sized to the room and the rest of its trim.
Profiles matched to an existing house or milled to order. If a moulding is no longer made, a custom knife is ground to reproduce it exactly. Available to homeowners and to the trade.
Bookcases, library walls, and media walls, built in the shop and installed clean in the home.
Alan is a Canton native who learned the trade the old way, apprenticed to a master finish carpenter until he passed.
He meets every client, lays out every room, leads every build, and stands behind the work when it is done. Everything is milled and assembled in the Canton shop.

A visit to see the rooms and talk through what they should become.
A fixed price and a clear description of the work, with drawings where the design calls for them. Nothing begins until it is approved.
A 50% deposit reserves a place on the schedule and covers materials.
The work is milled and assembled in the shop. Stain-grade work starts with a sample approved in the home.
Delivered, fitted to the house, and finished. The balance is due on completion.
